How It Started

My father became a contractor over 20 years ago, but the trade runs deeper than that. My grandfather was in masonry and concrete. My uncles do the same. Across our family, we have over 35 years of combined experience in this work. When my dad decided to build GHR Masonry & Concrete, it wasn't a career change—it was the natural next step in a line of work we understand at our core.

I'm James Ruiz, my dad's son. My two brothers are contractors in their own right. My uncle works alongside us. This is a family operation in the truest sense. We're not managing a crew of strangers. We're doing this together, and that matters. When something goes wrong, we own it. When we commit to a timeline, we keep it. The work reflects all of us.
